In this document, you will find step by step guide to import Layerise customer data to Klavyio using Zapier.
Getting started
You can between a list and segments :
- Whenever you want to interact with existing customers such as data available in a Layerise portal, your old campaign tool or you have data in Spreadsheet - Choose List.
- Whenever you want to interact with customers based on their behavior such as customers who have subscribed to the newsletter, customers who have added a product in the cart but have not purchased it in the last 30 days.
A List is recommended for existing customer data while a Segment is recommended for future customers based on their behaviors.
Step 1 : Create a list in Klayvio for Layerise customer data
You can create a list for your existing customers as well using lists. Click on List & Segments from the main menu on the left side -> Click on Create List/Segment button on top of the list highlighted in blue -> choose the list from the option

You can get all the data from Layerise to your own system by either zapier or custom integration.
Once you get the data, you have the option to use Zapier in order to automate importing data into Klavyio with the below steps:
Step 2 : Set up Zapier
Go to link : https://zapier.com/apps/layerise/integrations and sign up. If you already have an account, sign in to create a Zap.

Step 3: Conntect your Layerise account
Authenticate Zapier with Layerise account to get data from Layerise portal


Step 4: Connect with Kalavyio account
You need public and private API key to authenticate klavyio account in Zapier.
Go to Account -> settings -> API Key
Please note: You would need to create a private key in the account if not already created.
Enter public and private key into Zapier and authenticate Klavyio account.

Step 5: Select Klavyio List in Zapier__
Select Layerise list (Created in step 1) here. All the data from Layerise portal will be placed here automatically.

Step 6: Select Fields you wish to import in Klavyio__
Once connection is established between Layerise portal, Zapier and Klavyio. In this step, choose data fields from Klavyio list that you want to import from Layerise. This essentially mean you will be adding data into these fields in Klavyio list via Layerise.
E.g. Choose Email as one of the fields that you configured in Klavyio list (in step 1) to add email IDs that will come from Layerise portal.

Step 7: Map the field from layerise into Klavyio__
Now that you have selected list fields that you want to enter details in, in this step you need to add what values you want to pass into those list fields.
E.g. You selected email as a field from Klavyio List (in last step) and you want to pass value that is stored under email field in Layerise.

Step 8: Test your Zap__
As next step, test your zap by clicking on 'Send Test' button that you see in Zapier. After succesful Zap, login to Klavyio account and check Layerise List created. you should see 1 entry into the list.


If you see data in Klavyio list, you are done. Next time there is a new customer in Layerise, Zapier will automatically send the data to Klavyio List.
